Mortal Man

Mortal man, you bare a burden,

Before fellow man you seem happy,

But, your pillow knows the color of your tears,

This burden has been around for weeks, months or even years,

Cast all your burdens unto me,

It is time to let go my child.

Mortal man, your heart is choking on anger,

Yes Anna made your blood boil with the false accusations,

David broke the vow he made to you and I before men on the altar with his infidelity,

Your world is crushing and the devil is whispering, “ revenge”,

Do not take the bait, for revenge is mine.

Mortal man, you seek validation,

Am I not enough for you?

You were created in my image and likeness, is my validation not good enough?

You toil to please everyone but me,

Your heart breaks when Brooke doesn’t clap, but I am clapping for you,

Can’t you feel the cool breeze around you?That is me giving you a fatherly embrace.

Mortal man, I see fear all around you,

The uncertainity of tomorrow is stealing the joy of today,

I am El Elyon, the possessor of all things, I long to share my infinite resources with you,

Fear not, for I am with you to the end of days,

Rid yourself of fear by armoring your spirit with my word,

Fear has nothing on you when you are with and in me.

Mortal man, death scares you,

The thought of death sends panic to many,

I conquered death ages ago, I hold the keys to life,

I count one dead when they live in sin and fail to repent,

To my righteous ones, I give them sleep for they have earned the rest,

I made an army from a valley of bones, I resurrect the dead,

Death trembles at my name.

Mortal man, choose forgiveness,

I know it is hard especially when sorry is not spoken, but for your mind and heart’s sake forgive,

I put up with your lies,idols, licentiousness, mockery and other mistakes,

Which you sometimes confess to or choose not to as you take advantage of my kindness,

I am your creator and I choose to forgive, you have no excuse son of man,

Forgive and make peace with your past, lest the devil plants hatred and bitterness in you,

For with such vices you will not see let alone inherit my kingdom.

Mortal man, my heart craves for a beautiful relationship with you,

For sin I offer grace and forgiveness, for pain I offer comfort,

For lack I provide, for sorrow I give joy,

In despair I am there, for broken hearts I mend,

I am not against you, I root for you,

You may not grasp my love for you, for even the angels wonder why I slumber not for beings such as you.

Mortal man, lay down your burdens,

Come and I will give you rest,I am your refuge,

Yes you have fallen down from grace, but I am your redeemer,

Your garments are soiled but my blood washes away every stain,

The waves of this world rock your boat, but I will be your anchor,

You are never too far gone from me, take my hand my beloved one,
